On 25 July 2024, We Aid Initiative engaged stakeholders in Bauchi State to address the challenges and barriers faced by organisations, communities and women in their efforts to curb gender-based violence. This led to the establishment of the Justice Center for GBV, aimed at ensuring stakeholder collaboration, creating awareness, prompt incident reporting and collective action to end gender-based violence in the state.

• Establish a single coordinating point for GBV response in Bauchi State
• Ensure prompt incident reporting and survivor referral
• Strengthen the implementation of the VAPP-Act in Bauchi
• Improve survivor access to legal aid and psychosocial support

FounderWanda ya kafa Barr. Gambo Yakubu Wakili represented the organisation at the GBV in Emergencies training at the American University of Nigeria (AUN), strengthening organisational capacity to respond during crises.
